Having studied several languages over the course of many years, I had practiced producing varying sounds of human speech more often than I readily recall. Some years ago, while working as a tutor, I had been asked to help someone learn to speak English more clearly, so that they might more readily direct those who were working for them. I listened to them as they spoke to me and then offered suggestions based on techniques I had used when learning languages myself. We worked together for several weeks, meeting for an hour or two per week and, indeed, their clarity of speech improved to the point that they could manage the firm they worked for.
Over the past few years I've offered such assistance from time to time, often for friends, sometimes in trade for translations or other assistance. Recently, however, I've increasingly heard of others who might benefit from this service. Thus I now offer such for $15 per hour, under the understanding that one's success depends considerably on personal practice & that time spent with me will likely also be kept to about 1 or 2 hours per week.
