A feature featuring difficulties of & connection between a musically gifted young girl and a persecuted young boy she befriends.
Cast List:
typically a gloomy, stand-off-ish child.
(An important plot point; Annie's eyes are blue,
thus use of contact lenses will be likely,
unless the actor chosen's eyes are blue as well.)
NICOLAS – an awkward eleven-year-old boy.
Frail-seeming. Stand-off-ish yet eager to find a friend,
to break free from his loneliness.
Celto-Germanic. What many call white.
ZIYI – Annie’s mid to late thirties mother. Stern and frightful;
needs a terrifying gaze. Chinese-American.
WHEELER – forty-something blue collared man;
rough appearance; normal person that can carry a frightful presence.
ZHANG – Annie’s forty something father; simple and quiet individual.
Chinese-American.
VINCENT – Annie’s fifteen-year-old brother; tall, thin, rebellious teenager.
Chinese-American.
BRAD & JASON – two eleven-year-olds who bully their classmates;
also Asian.
