Antonio Lopez Actor |
| Bio: | After attending Saint Pius X High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Antonio grew up for nineteen years, Mr. Antonio Lopez went to the University of Notre Dame on a partial running scholarship. His efforts in the classroom (3.8), and the track (state champion in the 800 meters, mile, two mile) led him to the university that his second older sister graduated two years previous to his entrance as a freshman in 1999. Due to Antonio's asthmatic conditions and the cold conditions of South Bend, Indiana, Antonio Lopez had to choose between a college career in the east or a student athlete position in the west where conditions were better suited. At Notre Dame, Antonio ran for the NCAA eight finishing Fighting Irish cross-country team. He chose to major in Film, Television, and Theatre and had dreams of pursuing a pre-medicine route to medical school like his father, sister, and brother in law. Thereafter Antonio took two classes at the University of New Mexico, just two miles from his front porch and decided to venture to the University of Arizona for a summer session. The debate now was upon financial athletic money from the University of Arizona and the University of San Diego. Hence, the University of San Diego came out the winners and thus far Antonio has changed his major at USD from Chemistry to Psychology and Theatre Arts. Antonio has performed for the Carlsbad Play readers in the play Night of the Iguana, by Tennessee Williams, a play at the Fault Line Theatre The Mystery Gang, and just shot a film, Mysterious Barricades, which should air on HBO within two years. Now Antonio is in the Shakespear play Much Ado About Nothing which runs August 2-25 at the Coronado playhouse. He has broken every cross-country record at USD, has run the mile in 4:08, and in future events hopes to attend Graduate School in playwrighting and run in the 2004 Olympic Trials. |
